Swfl Mural Fest 2024!

After the great success of the inagural Swfl Mural Fest, held in Fort Myers in April 2023, Artsemble Underground is producing again Swfl Mural Fest in 2024. Artsemble has chosen a handful of artists in the SWFL art community, divided into 5 groups. They will create the murals at 2232 Dr Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Fort Myers, FL 33901, this year in permanet walls.

When you think of some of the most culturally diverse and renowned cities on Earth, they all have at least one thing in common: art. Each year, non-profit arts and culture organizations alone pump an estimated $60 billion into the national economy.

But more importantly, art impacts us individually… art heals, art helps, and art teaches. Art can ignite

self-expression and transform us and the way we interact with our community. Arts. and culture provide inspiration and joy to residents, beautify public spaces, and strengthen the social fabric of our communities.

We want to assure that art remains a significant part of our SWFL community. Our goal is to support our local artists and celebrate what makes our community great.

THE THEME & THE TEAMS

This year we will have 5 teams with some of the best artist of SWFL. We have picked the theme “the elements” for this year’ challenge. Air, water, fire and earth (plus 5th element)

4 team leaders were selected, and each one of them selected their team and they were assigned an element ramdomly which they will use to create a unique mural.
