Artsemble Underground

Present!

Swfl Mural Fest

Hurricane relief 2023!

Artsemble Underground have chosen a handful of artists in the SWFL art community to create large mural banners that will be hung on downtown buildings. Mural Fest is a three-weekend event, taking place at three different locations in Fort Myers; the Alliance for the Arts Campus, Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center/Downtown Fort Myers.

When you think of some of the most culturally diverse and renowned cities on Earth, they all have at least one thing in common: art.  Each year, non-profit arts and culture organizations alone pump an estimated $60 billion into the national economy.

But more importantly, art impacts us individually… art heals, art helps, and art teaches.  Art can ignite

self-expression and transform us and the way we interact with our community.   Arts. and culture provide inspiration and joy to residents, beautify public spaces, and strengthen the social fabric of our communities.

We want to assure that art remains a significant part of our SWFL community. Our goal is to support our local artists and celebrate what makes our community great.

Hurricane Ian, which is Florida’s deadliest hurricane since 1935, is already estimated to have cost $50 billion in economic disruption. Ian crashed into Florida’s Gulf Coast as a Category-4 storm, bringing catastrophic winds, rains and storm surge to cities in its direct path.  Some of the hardest hit were our deep and varied community of SWFL artists. Many artists were directly impacted by Hurricane Ian with flooding and loss of original artworks.
